The president referred to the assassination as a “horrible, heinous, demonic act of murder,” saying it had cut short the life of a man devoted to strengthening the country. He recounted how Charlie had founded Turning Point USA at just 18 years old. Charlie expanded it into the nation’s largest conservative youth organization through determination, enthusiasm, and hard work.

The organization, Donald said, had grown even more influential in the weeks since Charlie’s death. Donald credited Charlie for playing an instrumental role in both his 2016 and 2024 presidential campaigns. He asserted that his efforts helped secure a record level of support among young voters for a Republican candidate.
