Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Responds to Reporter Who Once ‘Attacked’ Him for Not Wearing a Suit at the White House – Video

A reporter who once questioned the 47-year-old Ukrainian president’s attire at a White House meeting received a pointed reply—and the internet took notice.

Just months after being questioned over his choice of attire, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a quick, humorous comeback to Real America’s Voice reporter Brian Glenn during a press conference with U.S. President Donald Trump — and the exchange is now making waves on social media.

On Facebook, one viewer commented on how Zelensky handled the situation, “His sense of humor is good..” while a critic wrote on Instagram, “This was another embarrassing moment for the administration.”

Some defended Zelensky’s appearance, writing“No matter what he wears – it’s fine. He doesn’t need a suit …. He looked fine and comfortable the way he wants to.” Someone else remarked“At least he apologized, better than nothing.”

The viral moment took place on August 18, 2025, when Glenn greeted Zelensky by saying, “You look fabulous.” U.S. President Donald Trump, standing nearby, interjected, “He’s the one that attacked you last time.”

Glenn apologized, and Zelensky replied, “You’re in the same suit. You see, I changed. You did not.”

His remark referred to a previous encounter on February 28, when the same reporter criticized Zelensky’s clothing during a White House visit. “You’re at the highest level in this country’s office, and you refuse to wear a suit,” Glenn said at the time.

Zelensky had responded to questions about his attire by referencing the ongoing war in Ukraine. “I will wear a costume after this war will finish [sic]. Maybe something like yours, yes? Maybe something better, I don’t know. We will see,” he said.

This is a developing story. Stay tuned for updates.
