New Details About King Charles’ Sudden Hospitalization Revealed — Report
King Charles’ health took an unexpected turn this week, prompting a sudden hospital visit that led to changes in his schedule. Buckingham Palace addressed the situation late Thursday night about what led to the decision.
King Charles made a brief hospital visit on Thursday following side effects from his ongoing cancer treatment, Buckingham Palace announced at 9 p.m. The 75-year-old monarch postponed his engagements for Friday to focus on his recovery and has since returned to Clarence House.
The decision to release the announcement later in the evening was due to discussions between the King’s medical team and palace staff. They weighed whether his planned visit to Birmingham should proceed but ultimately chose to postpone it to protect the King’s health.
A royal source emphasized that the King’s “recovery path continues in a positive direction” and described the hospital visit as “no drama.” Charles attended the London Clinic, where he was treated for an enlarged prostate in January 2024. He traveled to and from the hospital by car.

The visit was not seen as a significant development, and no further updates on the King’s condition are expected. Any adjustments to his schedule for next week will be communicated if necessary.
Reports from The Sun revealed that Prince Harry was not informed about his father’s hospital visit. The Palace chose not to contact Harry, who is 5,000 miles away, to avoid causing unnecessary concern.
